Puerh tea is unique in that the leaves can be brewed more than once. With each brew, the tea will fluctuate in flavor and become sweeter & sweeter. High quality Puerh tea leaves are typically brewed 20-30 times in the traditional method of multiple, very quick steepings.

Brewing Directions

Using filtered or spring water will produce the best tea. Fill teapot or strainer with 3-5 grams (about a handful) of Puerh tea leaves OR 1-2 mini tea cakes. Rinse the leaves. Pour boiling water over leaves and immediately discard. Do this 2-3 times. For the first few 1-5 brews, pour boiling water over leaves and steep for approximately 5 seconds. For the next brews increase steeping time according to your personal preference (about 10-20 seconds).
